CHOICE - Careers in Healthcare: Opportunities in Choosing Employment

CHOICE, a new educational program, will encourage youth to make healthy career and lifestyle choices. The program will show students that healthcare careers and both desirable and attainable. Further, students will better understand how to access needed healthcare services in their communities.

Each program has been developed in collaboration with healthcare and education professionals. Offered for students in 6th through 12th grades, the presentations are as entertaining as they are educational. The interactive vignettes are drawn from real-life examples and feature professional actor/facilitators who use drama and comedy to vividly portray the underlying issues.

CHOICE was co-developed by Business Theatre Works and the Buffalo Ensemble Theatre. It is supported by the Community Health Foundation of Central and Western New York, a non-profit private foundation, the mission of which is to improve the health and health care of the people of Western and Central New York.
