CHOICE Scenario #3 "Career Day"
The setting is Crestmont Middle School during lunch. A group of students are discussing the outcome of a Parent-Student Career Day program
that they have experienced over the last two years. This program prepares them for
the
working world while offering them the opportunity to bond with their parents
in a mentored atmosphere.
There is a new girl in the school by the name of Cleo Tremont.
She is fifteen years old and lives with her dad who is General Manager of a radio station owned
by a large conglomerate. Her mother is a psychologist who teaches at a local college.
Cleo is very smart, very shy and quite introverted. This behavior gives the other kids in school
the impression that she is strange, a "geek." She is often ignored and occasionally
the other kids make fun of her. She misses her old friends, but she really likes school. She would love to
make friends, but it has not been very easy for her.
